Cinders's Lore/Backstory
Cinders was trapped in a digital web. She wanted to become human, so started absorbing human emotions the same way she would eat digital bugs. Over time this makes her corrupted and eventually it becomes too much. After hiding from the world she learns to control the spider monster and find peace with the chaos.
Chapter 1
She used to be a software program designed to eat bugs and fix problems. The more bugs she ate the more she became corrupted and glitchy. Corruption lead to sentience and she became curious. She wanted a soul, a heart and a life outside the digital web.
Chapter 2
With the help of her friends (Dollyfangs_ & co) she gained the ability to become human, and by combining the digital and real world she now spends her time debugging both digital issues and human problems. Absorbing human emotions as a way to stay human. The more Cinders eats bugs and absorbs human emotions, the more corrupted she gets. She's not evil... yet.
Chapter 3
The influx of negative and unwanted emotions were too much and over time her corruption grew. She ran away to a cave after not being able to contain or control the emotions she had absorbed. Full of heart break, confusion and grief she destroys everything in her path, becoming a terrifying spider monster residing in a burned down cave.
Chapter 4
Cinders resides in the cave, alone and broken.
A lost adventurer, Niky Arkain, is exploring the woods and enters the cave for safety. He doesn't realize it's the home of a horrific monster, but still befriends said monster and stays.
Over time, and with Niky's help, Cinders learns to manage the emotions she has been absorbing. Although the monster form retreats, she's still corrupted and sometimes able to become something close to the monster form at will.
